Trade Up To Iridium

Globalstar subscribers wishing to Trade-up to Iridium can return an operational Globalstar Phone and receive $400 towards the purchase of a New Iridium 9505A. The program requirements for this offer are as follows:

• The $400 will be paid or credited when GMPCS receives your Globalstar phone. Any model Globalstar phone can be traded in, but it must be operational, meaning that it must power up and attempt to log on to the satellite.
• Purchase a NEW 9505A phone from GMPCS.
• Sign up for the Iridium North America Airtime Plan. Download the service agreement here.
  • a. The North America coverage area consists of the Continental US, Canada, Alaska, Puerto Rico and Caribbean plus 12 nautical miles into North American coastal waters. It does not include Hawaii, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands and American Samoa.
  • b. The North American Airtime Plan requires a two-year service agreement. There is a $35 one-time activation charge, and a $38.95 monthly service fee. The plan includes 10 FREE minutes of airtime in the North American Coverage Area each month. This FREE airtime does not roll over. Basic airtime charge in the North American Coverage Area is $1.29 per minute. Airtime charge for calls originating outside the North American Coverage Area is $1.99 per minute.
• An early termination fee of $750 is charged if the service agreement is cancelled by the customer within the two year contract period.
• The New Iridium Phone must be activated on the North American Service Plan prior to June 30, 2008.
